Design Concept:
The overall design aims for a classic Chinese aesthetic, employing a traditional color palette.
Significant effort was dedicated to the ornamentation. Given that dragon boat racing is a water sport, water patterns were essential. After extensive research, fish scale patterns were deemed the most fitting theme, their presence on the river evoking the image of a dragon—symbolizing water, river, and dragon all at once.
The openwork design of the side panels subtly showcases the restrained elegance of Chinese aesthetics through interplay of light and shadow.
The base dragon boat decorative cover plate, rendered in a jade green, embodies the essence of jade and earth. The finish line structure, a hall of honor, represents human sentiment and achievement.
Gameplay:
Each lane's starting point features a spring-loaded striker. Pulling and releasing the striker propels a small steel ball, which in turn drives the dragon boat along the waterway towards the finish line.
The track has an incline, ensuring the steel ball rolls back to its starting position after each strike, readying the next round.
The first boat to reach the finish line wins.
The game can be integrated with other games to determine firing rights. Difficulty can be adjusted by modifying spring tension and ball weight.
Additional Materials Required:
7mm or smaller steel balls * 4 (5-6mm recommended)
0.5*5*20 mm springs * 4 (or alternative springs, cut to appropriate length)
Assembly Instructions:
1. Secure the striker to the base
2. Install springs
3. Assemble the base
4. Insert the steel balls and game pieces, add the four side decorative strips, and close the decorative cover.
