Description
This is a functional model of micromanipulators used in intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), designed for educational and simulation purposes. The setup incorporates two articulated arms—injection and holding pipettes—that emulate the precise control mechanisms employed in actual embryology laboratories.
Each manipulator boasts three degrees of freedom and can be interfaced with an ESP32 or similar microcontroller for interactive control, rendering it exceptionally suitable for biomedical simulation, professional training, or STEM educational settings. The design is inspired by Kitazato-style micromanipulators and optimized for FDM 3D printing using PLA or PETG.
This kit endeavors to simulate the precision, ergonomics, and spatial constraints of authentic ICSI equipment in a safe, accessible manner for students, educators, and bioengineering enthusiasts.
