British Phone Booth Teabag Storage and Dispenser

My fridge in the design of a british phone booth was a coincidence but became kind if iconic with my friends, family and coworkers, so at some point a few months ago I started to fiddle with the idea fo doing something else with that.

Since I don't drink coffee (gasp) and tea is one of those british things. I even found a design online quite a while ago but somehow couldn't get that to print well enough and assembly was a bit rickety, so I shelved that and a few weeks ago revisited the idea and built one from scratch.

And I'm extremely happy with it.

Features:

• Removable roof with modular sign holder, allows you to put signs with puns in a language of your choice
• AMS-Printable Signs (if you don't have an AMS, you could print and cut them out
• front door slides out the top (roof removed) for most convenient teabag insertion
• fits Teekanne Teabags and probably most standard sized wrapped teabags around 6.5x6.3 cms

• teabags are easily pulled out through the opening at the bottom, the base plate has a gap so you can grip it from underneath with a finger. 

   

  it's actually less fiddly than it looks, but my countertop is very slippery and I had only one hand free :-D

  

Assembly instructions:

1. put main frame into base plate (glue it in if you prefer=
2. insert back panel into the groove in the base
3. insert side panels, the nubs that will prop up the front panel facing towards the front
4. slide front panel in
5. put top frame on top, make sure everything sits in its respective grooves
6. maybe slide front door up and out a few times
7. put square profile dowel in the hole
8. insert signs into the sign holder parts
9. put sign holder on top
10. put roof on top, mak sure the orientation is right, it's not entirely square, it should cover the top of the sign holder fully

Done!

Remove roof and front door to insert teabags most easily, preferably tilted through the front opening, if that's too inconventient you can also remove the top frame.
