Description
Show your patriotic spirit with this layered light-box designed to look like a gently waving Stars & Stripes. Two rear key-hole slots make wall-mounting simple, and a third opening routes a USB cable to power an LED strip (not included – mine’s still in transit, but I didn’t want to keep this file from you any longer!).
Profile for 2HD, you can resize to be able to print in X1C, P1P - P1S, Print settings remain the same.
I print the front at .2 layer height. The back at .24 layer height.
First layer I did .16 layer height for improved quality.
Recommended print settings
- Calibration first!
- Run Flow Dynamics and Flow Rate calibration for each filament so the bottom layer (which becomes the visible front) prints flawless and streak-free.
- Layer Height: 0.2 mm (0.28 mm OK for non-visible back)
- Walls: 2 (0.8 mm)
- Infill: 10 % Grid – purely structural
- Supports: None
- Seam: Rear (aligned)
- Build Plate Adhesion: Skirt or none (large, flat footprint holds fine)
Assembly & lighting
- Press-fit or glue the colored face onto the charcoal backing.
- Feed a 5 V USB LED strip through the cable slot and adhere it around the interior lip.
- Hang using the integrated key-holes, plug in, and bask in the glow!
