Straight AFX Track Borders

Slot car track is not wide enough. Borders are necessary and often named: aprons, curbs, and shoulders.

These borders self attach to AFX slot car track. The tabs on the ends keep them level to each other. Therefor these borders also work with elevated raceways.

Use PETG because the clips for self attachment will break with PLA.

Each color is its own part. Change the color of the colored parts to match your own country, enjoy.

Race track and cars are widely available new and used.

Arachne, just because. 100% infill for color. Auto tree support for clips and tabs. Uncheck remove small overhangs so it will support the tabs. Paint tree supports if it tries to fill the clip. Brim type: painted. Large brim ears which are not needed until they are needed. Bambu Studio will fight hard to hide seams inside the clip, so paint the seam on the outside of the clip and the edge of part.

There are two small overhangs: inside the clips and the tabs. We want support on the tabs. We don't want support inside the clip.

This file may not have the best setting. Dec 2025 I have found the best setting to stop support from filling the clip is to check “Remove small overhangs” (default) and paint support on the tabs. (Supports, Fill, click on the tab)
