📄 Description:

This is a simple mechanical sign that lets you display one of three messages using a rotating knob. It's fully 3D printable. The text on each face can be customized in OpenSCAD – perfect for marking statuses, assigning tasks, or communicating silently in shared spaces.

You can add the spring so that the sign rotates with a click and holds its position securely. It assembles easily without glue or tools and is ready to use right off the printer.

Works best, if all words have the same length, but is not a must.

I remixed this because I wanted three texts on my sign. Complete remodel in OpenSCAD. Spring and Knob are also a complete remodel and not original.

poor. I’m sorry to say this but exactly as the previous comment has stated. Letters are not the same width, unless some kind of block sizing is used, they will not line up when assembled.

This is a truly splendid idea, particularly the generator. Unfortunately, a flaw exists; text generation exceeding three characters functions incorrectly, as letter positioning no longer aligns with the respective cutouts. A future update addressing this would be greatly appreciated. The issue is reproducible within the generator's "Assembled" view, as shown in the attachment. How can the letters be colored? Bambu Lab unfortunately does not appear to color based on the letter frames.

Unfortunately, it seems like there is a problem with the spacing, when using the online generator. It worked for me, using it offline. Will try to fix it!
