I tried PLA and PETG, both work wonderfully. You should definitely make sure your material and profile are compatible so that the threads work flawlessly afterwards. You have to twist it back and forth a few times, then it works.
I tried several differently roasted beans. The fill height varies depending on the variety and roast degree. However, it always fit with my varieties.
