Description

Tired of tangled wires and scattered components?

This 3D-printable modular toolbox is designed for makers, engineers, and hobbyists who crave an organized workspace. Featuring stack-able compartments, customizable bins, and a sturdy ergonomic design.

Whether you're organizing tools for electronics, bracelet making, leather working, painting, sewing, woodworking, model building, crafting, or any other hobby, this toolbox adapts to suit your needs!

At 100% scale, the toolbox is a large, sturdy container capable of organizing a wide variety of tools and supplies. Each level is modular and locks securely into the levels above and below, including the lid.

The base file includes:

  • One open base tray for larger tools and materials
  • One center tray with adjustable divider slots and bins for customizable storage
  • One lid with a carrying handle and integrated part-holding cutouts
  • Divider cards
  • Small parts trays stack-able

***supports are difficult to remove. if printing in PETG a support interface is recommended. ***

Additional bins include

  • Box base (typ 2) with gridifinity
  • Middle bin (typ 4) with gridfinity
  • Middle bin (typ 1) with no dividers/open
  • Middle bin (typ 3) with no floor/ acts as a wall riser section for larger storage area in base

This toolbox is built for strength in the right places, ensuring durability for various applications. It is printed in separate pieces and assembled using bow tie inserts and glue for a secure hold. Some of the key features include

-heavy use of chamfers for strong corners

-locking latch to keep the box together

-alignment lip to seat top and bottom together

-designed to use minimum supports

This box is printed in PETG HF for strength and heat resistance in the car, however, PLA would be a fine material to use if the box was not subjected to heat. This print profile is optimized for PETG print using a PLA interface layer. Make sure to edit the supports if you are changing print in PLA.

More tray designs will be coming! pliers holder? socket holder? whatever is most requested will be added.

Check out my other hinged box with TPU insert and magnetic closure. Any stl can be used as the negative shape. Starrett can be colored off  https://makerworld.com/en/models/1054124-tool-protection-box-w-tpu-use-any-negative-part#profileId-1041339
