Description

A set of 3 adapters to convert standard bestaway and intex 32mm hoses to the Lay-z Spa pump connectors. These let you use the pump from a Lay-z Spa hot tub with bestaway or intex above ground pools, letting you heat the water. You will need 18x2.5mm and 30x2.5mm O-rings for these.

Note, the Lay-Z spa filter is inside the hot tub, not inside the pump unit - the Bestaway filter/pump must be put in series with the Lay-Z spa control unit to provide filtration of the water. There is no need to run this pump, its just acting as a filter housing.

I've tested this with my “egg” style Lay-Z spa pump, but I believe they all use the same thread. The thread on the LayZ spa is an M27x2 (fine pitch), which I have given a -0.5mm tolerance in these prints as it was a bit too tight with standard ISO tolerance.

3 adapters are provided. The most useful is the “LZM to 32mm”. This allows you to connect 32mm hoses to the Lay-z spa pump.

The other two adapters allow you to connect 32mm hoses to the Lay-Z spa hot tub, useful if you want to use a sand filter with the hot tub instead of the paper filters, or have the pump unit away from the hot tub. The flange type, “LZF Flange to 32mm”, requires the split nuts from the pump to be installed (these are available as a spare part). The other type, “LZF to 32mm”, has the female thread integrated, which means you have to install it onto the hot tub liner before attaching the pipe to it. Note that there is an 18mm O-ring inside the LZF to 32mm adapter - this is required or it will leak.

For best results use these print settings (or use my 3mf file):

Print in PETG for water and UV resistance

Dry your PETG before printing

0.16mm layer height - high quality pre-set

Seam position = Random

Ironing type = top surfaces, rectilinear

Top, bottom and sparse infil = concentric

Sparse infil = 100%
