Description

I share the model I use to chose the outer wall print speed of my silk filaments, where the printing speed can have a dramatic change to the look of the part  :

This is not the first “tower type” model to test the printing speed, but their size was really too much for me, it was difficult to store them all.

So, I create this one which is smaller and use less than 10g, the goal was to be able to keep it inside the spool when I store them in their bag or boxes :

The speed range goes from 200mm/s to 10mm/s : 200/175/150/125/100/75/50/40/30/20/10

I found that most of my Silk Filaments had a sweet spot around 50mm/s to make them really shiny, but sometimes you want something more discrete/matte but a faster speed can change the color of the part in a strange way so testing is the only solution.

The provided print profile is made for every silk filament brands, it should adapt to your printer/material without any further action : just download and print!

But if you want to modify it in your slicer anyway : please double check that you disabled the option “Slowing printing down for better layer cooling” in the Filament Settings (inside the “Cooling” tab) and have a sufficient value of "Max Volumetric Speed" (at least 20mm3/s) : if not you will not reach the higher speed of this test model
