This generator easily allows you to create the cushions for both ends of carpenter presses, here's a complete guide to the generating parameters.

 

Subscribers to my Get to the source commercial membership can get access to the original .SCAD files and use OpenSCAD nightly builds to run them, if you don’t know how to do it, I wrote a full but simple step by step guide that you can find attached to this project.

Circle cushion

  • Front only - only the borders in contact with wood piece will be rounded;
  • Front and bottom - the front borders and the bottom one will be rounded;
  • Full - all the borders will be rounded.

Provided list is the list of Bambu Lab filaments with their correct color codes.

 

You can also set this parameter to Custom and select your custom color in the color parameter below.

Select a custom filament color for the circle cushions.

This value is used only if the above filament parameter is set to Custom.

circle_countThe number of circle cushions to generate on the plate. 1503

circle_disposition

The disposition to use when placing the circle cushions on the plate. This parameter can have one of these values:

  • Circle - the cushions will be placed in concentric circles;
  • Square - the cushions will be places on a square basis;

Choose the quality of generation of the objects, the higher quality the more memory/time generation will take.

This value can be:

  • Basic;
  • Draft;
  • Standard;
  • Detailed;
  • High;
  • Ultra precision;
  • Production.

My advice is to find your settings for the whole object using Basic to Detailed rendering, then switching to Production when ready to export.
