Here’s a fun and super handy addition to your workspace 🛠️
This 3D printable clip stand features 4 flexible arms with alligator clips—perfect for holding wires, small parts, soldering components, and anything that needs an extra "hand" (or four ).
I spent quite a bit of time tweaking the design to make sure it prints well with different filaments.
Since layer adhesion and material dryness can affect the fit, I’ve included two print profiles with different locking mechanisms—so you can test and pick the one that works best for your setup!

🖨️ Printing Recommendations
- Tolerances can vary from printer to printer. Before printing the full set of pins, do a short trial print first!
- I’ve included a STEP file for the pins so you can adjust tolerances if needed.
- Use 4 walls when printing clips and pins for added strength.
- Dry your filament before printing — this helps with layer adhesion and prevents cracking or breaking, especially on the pins
- here are two print profiles included:
- Works good with PETG HF
- Better suited for PLA, good with PETG HF
Do the pin trial print first to see which version works best for your material.
🧩 Assembly Instructions
- Insert the bottom pins into the dedicated slots.
- Secure with nuts
- Assemble all 4 arms, finishing with the top pins (these are the smooth spheres without the contraction slits).
- Attach the arms to the bottom pins.
- Attach the clips to the top pins, as shown in the image.
