These small magnetic worms are intended as replacement parts for the popular TOP BRIGHT Montessori children's toy – the one with the bird in the tree trunk that little ones can "feed" with worms.

This 3D model is exclusively the worm – perfect as a replacement if one (or more...) disappears under the sofa, cupboard, or bed.
This happens quickly with toddlers – more than half of the original worms had vanished in our house. Therefore, I promptly duplicated them – and now you can too!

🖨️ Printing Notes:

  • Individual Model: The file intentionally contains only one worm,

so you can position it as desired and print it in various colors.

  • Scaling: Original size – fits the toy perfectly
  • Magnet Dimensions: The worm is designed for a 5 mm x 1.6 mm magnet
(e.g., removed from an old Dexcom G7 applicator – if available)
  • Support: Not necessary!
  • Orientation: Standing upside down – brim is recommended
  • Optimization: Finally, paint on the eyes with acrylic pens :)

🧲 Note on Magnet Assembly:

Please pay attention to the correct polarity when inserting the magnets so that the worms can be properly "caught"!
A drop of superglue securely holds the magnet in place – depending on the tolerance, you may need to slightly drill or press it in.

For the aforementioned 5x1.6mm magnets, a press fit is sufficient and no adhesive is needed.

👶 Safety Note:

This model is intended for private use. Even though it replaces a children's toy, please be aware of loose magnets – these can be swallowed and are not suitable for children under 3 years.
Always use under supervision!

💡 Tip:

Print several in different colors – this is not only more fun, but also helps with counting, sorting, and learning colors!

Update:

  • STL attached if you want to use other magnets. Have fun adapting.
