It was a real pleasure assembling and painting this rifle. I also made a stand for it, which you can find on my profile. The whole gun was printed in black PETG.

Did you add supports when printing in multiple colors? I see the author's file did not enable supports, can I print it directly

Replying to @ichabodzhang :
I can't tell you exactly anymore, but I think I printed it without. However, next time I would print without multi-color printing. I printed the brown part behind the binoculars with AMS and it took forever. Everything else was printed in black and simply painted - looks much better and saves material and time

This is the way… to a flawless print. Thank you for a well designed model. Easily one of the best I’ve ever sent through the slicer. The geometry is so clean it could make even a Jawa jealous. As expected, printing long pieces upright does risk layer‑line weakness, as seen with the electro‑bayonet. While the rectangular pins do add reinforcement, I wasn’t willing to gamble like a smuggler at a sabacc table. Instead, I sliced the longer parts down the center and added dowel pins with a 0.4 tolerance for size and depth. Yes, it meant extra work, but the result is a rifle sturdier than beskar. Unexpected bonus: printing this way created a subtle wood‑grain effect on the buttstock — perfect for adding cinematic flair once painting and weathering begin. I chose ABS for the build, since it sands more easily. This model is a credit to the Maker’s Guild. Cleverly engineered, and with a little slicer wizardry, the final product feels ready for bounty hunting across the Outer Rim.

Can someone for the life of me explain the little thin rectangle piece? The website with "instructions" has no actual words and I cant figure out the orientation. it appears to go into the pop out stock, but dawned if I can figure it out...

pretty good design! thank you! my only complaint is the trigger 🤣🤣 6 foot blaster with 0.5cm trigger 🤣🤣 . it's very very small , that the only point to improve! overall is sturdy and easy to put together!! thank you ! Boosted!!
