Description

Here is a cool one, I needed to have a support to have the wonderful stormtroopers lunch over the air (https://makerworld.com/it/models/17637-lunch-atop-a-shelf-starwars-troopers#profileId-41676) sitting stable to avoid falling over and feel like construction workers.

inspired by this:

 

So I designed a I beam structure and some pilons to looks great and be stable and realistic. I have added some clips (need to make them tighter) to hold them in position and avoid gluing them and also to ease positioning.

Love this print. I added a brim to keep the legs from moving around and slowed the overhang printing way down.

Nice beam but it is too short to fit all the STs on. I edited the beam to be a two piece longer design so they all fit.

Indeed, the concept is excellent However, the steel beam proved to be excessively short At both extremities, a Stormtrooper was precariously positioned, either suspended or nearly so Furthermore, the front surface of the steel beam appeared rather irregular, lacking uniformity in the printed rendition Consequently, I undertook modifications to the model: I optimized its dimensions, precisely reconfigured the circular recesses for the feet, and segmented it into two components designed for seamless assembly with dowels The steel beam now measures 40cm in length, affording ample accommodation for all Stormtroopers, and presents a refined aesthetic I am now thoroughly content with the outcome Nonetheless, I extend my gratitude to the designer for conceiving such an excellent idea and providing the foundational model
