Description

I designed this insert because none of the existing options quite met my expectations. While the original insert is decent—better than most stock solutions—it falls short in a few areas: the card holder is too tight for sleeved tarot cards (I'm using Arcane Tinmen), and setup/teardown could be smoother. I wanted something more functional, visually cohesive, and tailored to how I store and play the game.

This custom insert includes:

  • A layered holder for the player and tiles boards, scanned from the originals for a snug fit.
  • A large tile and scorepad box, easy to dump onto the table and repack.
  • A card tray with proper clearance for sleeved cards.
  • A removable animal & spirit cube tray with sloped compartments for easy pickup—goes straight from the box to the table.

The insert makes full use of the box space. There's a tiny bit of wiggle room (about 1 mm), but it still holds everything securely—even in vertical storage. The cubes stay put, and everything remains in place, even with all three manuals stored in the box.

Colors are layered from dark blue → cyan → caramel → lemon yellow, matching the game’s visual tone and setting the mood the moment you open the box.

Note:

  • The player and tile board holder is quite large. I recommend ensuring good first-layer adhesion—use glue stick or your preferred method—to prevent corner lift and failed prints.
  • The individual plates are merged in the provided files to take advantage of adaptive layer height for quality optimization. You can of course split them up if you prefer to print them individually.

Bill of Materials (Bambu Lab PLA, bottom to top):

  • PLA Matte Dark Blue (base layer)
  • PLA Basic Cyan
  • PLA Matte Caramel
  • PLA Matte Lemon Yellow (top accents)
