Modular Garden Trellis
Print Profile(1)

Description
Our neighbors recently replaced the gnarly, old, half falling down fence they inherited when they bought their house. The put in a beautiful white PVC privacy fence. It seems that the old fence wasn't installed on the right spot, so our fence, that used to meet right up with theirs now had a gap big enough for our dog to sneak out through. Bummer, right?
Rather than spend hundreds or even thousands to move the end of our fence, I decided to make this decorative trellis. It screws together in pieces using M5-20 countersunk screws with Ruthex heat-set brass inserts to accept those screws. No supports necessary for this, though I did throw down some mouse-ears to prevent warping, as I was printing this in ASA. My print shown here was done in Siraya Tech's beautiful White ASA-GF. My install took about 1.25 kilos in total.
The model should scale gracefully back down to a 0.4 nozzle, but I used the 0.6 for expediency's sake. I printed a couple of @jajaum3d's zip ties out of some eSun ASA+ to secure it to our fence post. All in all, turned out really nice. Plenty of other applications for this as well. Would make an excellent climbing apparatus for plants/vines too!
