Great grip but I cut my finger because the cap exposed the Blade when open, so pay attention

My wife did the exact same thing the first time she opened it since the cap was a little stuck. Be careful!

i was thinking of making this but I’m concerned because of the slit in the cap. Why on earth is it like that?

I printed in PLA and it turned out beautifully. I love how the protective cap completely covers the blade so there is no worry of cutting yourself. I happened to have hex socket metric screws (image listed below) on hand, so I used those. The size that fit perfectly for this design was M4 x 12. Overall excellent design!

I tried this screw but the head stood out so I used the recommended countersunk screw which worked fine

I've been sharing sour dough starter. Now I have a little extra gadget to share along with that. Flawless print. Came together well, used a slightly larger screw.

I made some for a local bakery that asked me for help, they came out perfectly but I added a little color to those gaps in the handle, I used M4 x 12mm screws.

Printed for my bread making granddaughter. Just waiting for my screw order. Your required size is the one I don’t seem to have. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I canno wait, they arrive tomorrow. I used Bambu translucent PETG. Looks lovely! I had to use 4mm screws.

The M3x12mm screws didn’t work. the diameter is too small. I will need to verify with calipers that my screws meet your criteria, but it is looking like I need 4m… which I don’t have either. So waiting until they are delivered tomorrow. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I made 2 of these, but the hole in the bottom handle is too big, or has no threads for the 3m12 screws that I bought. Am I missing something?

Hi, try a screw with a slightly larger section, the thread is created by the screw itself. Probably with a thicker screw you will have to cut it to fit its length. strange because this is the first time I've been reported this problem. If you can't, let me know

Replying to @madesport :
larger diameter screws will then not fit in the countersunk hole on the front, I ended up glueing them, I'll only be able to use them once :(
