Torque Limiting Knob

Introduction

Knob with adjustable slipping clutch to avoid damage at endpoints.

When reaching endpoint it can be necessary to avoid damage on your design by letting knob slip at torque set by using the ClutchScrew.

Tools

• T27 Torx wrench
• M12 Threading tool

Instruction

1. Print parts - infill 50% and 3 outer layers
   1. Optionally paint indicator on KnobCap with desired color if supported by printer
2. Thread Knob with M12 inside
3. Thread ClutchScrew outside
4. Thread KnobCap outside - this may not be needed
5. Insert TransmissionClutch into knob so hexagon sticks out from small hole
6. Screw ClutchScrew until it creates required resistance to torque
7. Close Knob by mounting the KnobCap
