M12 Battery Cover
Print Profile(5)

Description
Made this cover for the Milwaukee M12 batteries so that when they're in a tool box or bag that the electrical contacts are protected as I was worried they might short out against some of my other tools, or eachother if you had multiple batteries. After having the model up for a while some users informed me that these are also useful for covering the battery when travelling for work, taking airline flights, as the contacts must be covered to be allowed in your hand luggage.
The battery locks into place, as in my other M12 model and as it would in M12 tools, and is removed by pushing in the battery tabs. Some users found it difficult to remove the batteries from the holder, so after some tolerance testing and trying a range of batteries, a new looser fit version has been uploaded. It is a very small amount of material removal but makes it significantly easier to get the battery out while keeping it securely in place.
Some users did report that newer batteries were harder to remove from the old tight version, or that they had to scrape or deburr the inner edge. Hopefully this is solved by the new looser fit version, but if you find them too loose the old profile and model are still available.
It has now been tested on 2Ah, 3Ah, and 5Ah High Output batteries and seems to work on new and older batteries.
The part is designed to print without any supports as only a very small section requires bridging which can be done easily even with PETG. New print profiles also have PLA as an option. These have not been as extensively tested as my PETG versions, but as a simple cover should be more than strong enough.
Hope someone else finds it useful!
