SAN ANTONIO DE PADUA
St. Anthony of Padua is depicted standing, dressed in the dark brown Franciscan habit, cinctured with the white three-knotted cord, symbol of the religious vows: poverty, chastity, and obedience.
His face is serene, youthful, with a sweet and contemplative expression. He has a tonsure (the shaved crown, typical of the friars), and in his arms is the Child Jesus whom he carefully holds.
