This is a dispenser designed for socks, rags, plastic bags, underwear or similar items. It helps organize them for even use—following a “first in, first out” system to reduce uneven wear.

The design includes:

  • A hole at the bottom for easy removal of items
  • Openings in the middle front to check the remaining quantity and clear any clogs
  • A hole at the top for loading new items

Originally, I made this to solve a personal problem: I have a lot of the same socks, but they wear out unevenly because I always grab the ones in the same spot in the drawer. I know it sounds minor, but it was enough of an annoyance to create this sock dispenser.

Once built, I realized it works great for other things too—like microfiber rags. Each section can hold 6 to 10 rags, or 12 to 20 if you print both halves. This keeps the rags rotating evenly and makes them easy to grab while staying out of the way.

It’s also perfect for storing and reusing plastic shopping bags. And if you’re looking for an easy way to rotate underwear or other similarly sized items, this works for that too.

I Googled to see if a “sock dispenser” was a thing before printing, hoping I'm not the only crazy one, and found a clip from Modern Family making a joke about it, but hey, it's not a bad idea, so here is the video for a good laugh:
