Description

This is an miniature of an 8th century Naval Gun with its stock at the scale 1:8.  It is based on one of the Queen Ann's Revenge canons that were found with the shipwreck of the infamous Blackbeard's ship. Yes, Blackbeard really existed and his ship was an iconic pirate ship.  I did a lot of research and I based my design on authentic documentation.  I put as much details as I could...

There are so many ways this can be printed.  I chose to do it in 3 plates. One multi-colors (2) with the wheels in 2 parts.  Another with only wood parts and one last with all metal parts.   You will notice that the grey canon from my pictures is resin printed.  The gold one is FDM printed.  There is a second canon not on a plate in the print profile.  That one has custom logos on it.  Those are not authentic.  There was no logo on the original canon and you can see that an FDM printer isn't so good for those logos.

When breaking the supports, I broke many rings of the main part.  I realized that it would be cleaner and easier to print the rings apart and stick them with glue.

Enjoy!
