Description

I designed a saxophone mouthpiece inspired by selmer. It actually works and is pretty funny to play on, as the tone sounds very special. But as a professional saxophonist I would not recommend to use this one as your real one…

I used this pattern to print a goose mouthpiece for our schools band teacher. she jokes with her students about sounding like a goose if they don't have their embouchure correct. it was not functional though so that's why I only gave it four stars. I printed with pla so I don't know if that was the issue or not.

The file printed fine but functionally the bottom is curved too far so the reed doesn’t sit flat.

I tried it on my alto sax and you had to blow really hard to get out notes, and it just wasn’t an ideal sound. BUT it was hilarious to try and play😂
