Description

Manufacturing Summary

  1. Print 4 trays of components according to the model. PETG matte material is recommended.
  2. Pre-bond the back cover plate and terminal posts with 704 silicone sealant (white). Apply the sealant fully along the edges to prevent air leakage.
  3. Line the speaker opening on the front panel with EVA tape. Slip heat-shrink tubing over the speaker wires before connecting them. Note the positive/negative terminals (differentiated by size), secure the connections, then shrink the tubing. Finally, fasten the speaker to the front panel.
  4. Apply sound deadening sheets inside the middle housing box. Use a squeegee to press and smooth the sheets for full adhesion.
  5. Bond the front panel, middle housing, and front duct with 704 silicone sealant (white). Use generous amounts of sealant to avoid air gaps. Press components firmly together and let cure for 24 hours.
  6. Line the rear opening of the middle housing with EVA tape. Connect the speaker wires to the terminal posts on the back plate, then secure the back plate with screws.

Note: To prevent shrinkage and deformation of the middle housing:

  • Use a raft layer with 10 layers and a Z-spacing of 0.2mm.
  • After printing, let the middle housing cool on the print bed before removal.

I'll continue optimizing this speaker model in the future. Updates on the sound quality and improvements will be shared regularly.

Lastly, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could give this project a thumbs up and follow my updates! 🚀
Feel free to leave comments with any questions or ideas—everyone is welcome to join the effort to refine this compact speaker!

Thank you!

I love your billibilli videos, I like your designs and besides the midrange, they all sounded great. Can you list the parts and maybe a link to aliexpress to get them? I would like to know which cones you have tested and I don't speak chinese. Thanks!

I'm glad you like it! But I just found a problem: the MakerWorld international site hasn't synced my parts list. You can check the Chinese site at makerworld.com.cn — the bill of materials is there. The parts are available on Taobao and Alibaba.

The idea and concept are great, but in terms of sound, is there an audio recording so we can get an idea? What existing model would you compare your design to?
