I created this custom rim for E-SUN cardboard filament spools, designed specifically for users of the Bambu AMS (Automatic Material System). The goal is to solve the problem of automatic material recognition and preserve the correct functioning of the AMS even with non-original spools WITH ONLY 10G OF FILAMENT!!
This rim applies perfectly to E-SUN cardboard spools, respecting the dimensions and profile of official Bambu Lab spools. It features a dedicated compartment for inserting the official Bambu Lab spool RFID, thus allowing the material to be automatically recognized by the AMS system without any modification or forcing.
Perfect AMS closure: the rim was designed with precise tolerances to ensure the AMS closes smoothly, keeping the lid securely fitted as with original spools.
Smooth and friction-free rotation: the rim does not interfere with the rotation of the spool inside the AMS. The spool spins freely and uniformly, ensuring proper filament unwinding during printing.
Easy RFID installation: simply insert the official Bambu Lab RFID into its housing and secure it with a tiny drop of glue, just enough to keep it in place without risk of detaching during use.
Simple and guided installation: for correct and error-free assembly, simply follow the attached images that show step-by-step placement of the rim and RFID on the spool.
Compatibility and safety: allows the use of E-SUN cardboard spools without risking damage to the internal AMS mechanism, extending its life and improving the user experience.

ATTENTION: BECAUSE MEASUREMENTS DIFFER FROM SPOOL TO SPOOL EVEN BY A FEW MM, IT IS ADVISABLE TO MEASURE THE OUTER DIAMETER AND THEN USE THE PRINT PROFILE WITH THE IDEAL MEASUREMENT FOR YOUR SPOOL!
