Mondrian Logic Blocks with Storage Case: A Portable Gift Set

Late last year, I sought engaging puzzles, finding simpler ones quickly lost their appeal. On January 1st, I discovered Mondrian Blocks, captivated by their challenging card system and high replayability—but the price was $180. Research revealed similar logic blocks for mere dollars, prompting me to create the game's core components. After several plays and a period of postponement, four months later, I finally completed the case. For a fraction of the original price, you now possess a gift-set version of this logic game, perfect for gifting children or personal enjoyment (●'◡'●). Its compact design ensures effortless portability.

The storage case offers two configurations:

• One card slot + two game sets (ideal for head-to-head competition, printing two sets for simultaneous play or one of each color for variation)
• One card slot + one game set + one stacking storage box (allowing for mid-game storage and continued portability)

Game Components: Five colored blocks and a base; three fixed blocks and the base share a consistent color.

Storage Case: Includes a lid, base, two clasps, and an inner tray (integrated card storage with four compartments, each holding 22 cards). Assembly requires six M2x25 cylindrical pins. My personal case utilizes these metal components for a refined aesthetic. The clasps, 3D printed using A1 mini and PLA Basic, function flawlessly; however, my H2D required compensation adjustments to correct slightly small circular holes. The clasps necessitate perfectly sized holes; oversized holes create looseness, while undersized holes require minor enlargement using an M2 drill bit.

Challenge Cards: Based on my purchased instruction manual, there are 88 levels, categorized from 1- to 5-stars. I've separated them by star rating. The configuration includes two colors; I recommend employing differing colors for various sets to distinguish them easily. Card completion is ongoing (current progress: 44/88).
