Following a painful milling injury to my finger, I designed this reusable finger guard in three different sizes (Big, Medium, Small). It is used in the order “Big → Medium → Small” to prevent further injury to the same finger. The individually adaptable variants offer sufficient space for your finger, including bandages, and ensure optimal ventilation through the lightweight Voronoi grid structure.

 

Simple medical tape is recommended for attachment – this ensures the guard sits securely yet flexibly. Good bed adhesion is essential for 3D printing, so that the integrated film hinge functions reliably without rework.

 

Printing material: PETG is recommended as it gives the flexible hinge additional stability.
