This is a small cyberdeck for the raspberry pi zero or zero 2, a 3.5 inch gpio connected display and a Rii miniature keyboard.
Raspberry pi 5 and 4 version available: click here
Setup
- If not already, solder the GPIO pins onto your raspberry pi zero or raspberry pi zero 2.
- Using the Raspberry PI imager, flash Raspberry Pi OS Bullseye legacy to a micro SD card. (NB: The display is not compatible with any newer versions of Raspberry Pi OS unless on a Raspberry Pi 5)
- Connect your screen, keyboard, SD card and an HDMI monitor to the pi and power on. (NB: You might need to use a micro USB to full size USB adapter for the mini keyboard's wireless dongle)
- Using the instructions http://www.lcdwiki.com/3.5inch_RPi_Display to install the touchscreen drivers and rotate the display 180 degrees for use in the case
- When completed, disconnect the HDMI monitor and put the device in the 3d printed case and connect power and keyboard connecter! (You might need to use some blu-tac to hold the keyboard in place)
