I appreciate your recognition. Thank you

Hello,

if you also have an ECOFLOW Powerstream and want to cool it with air, my fan housing might help you

The housing is designed like the ECOFLOW original for the back of the Powerstream micro inverter. Fans with a standard size of 120mm are suitable

I used an “ARCTIC P12 Max” fan (12V DC/ 0.29A) to operate it constantly with a small additional solar cell when the sun shines. I chose this fan because it has strong airflow. Of course, any other 12V DC power source also works. I chose this variant to be USB independent in outdoor areas (USB is also possible with a suitable fan and power supply - but a controller would then be missing!).

The fan cable routing into the connection compartment can be adjusted in the slicer using the negative part, depending on the width of the ribbon cable. The negative part is designed for 4 ribbon cable strands, without the negative part for 2 strands. For a 3-pin cable, it must be adjusted to the appropriate width.

I provide the constant 12V DC via a simple and inexpensive Step-Down Converter (Buck Converter). For the converter, there is a screw mount in a junction box inside the housing.

Search for: DC-DC Buck Converter Module, 3.2-46V → 1.25-35V Voltage Regulator

I designed the connection on the housing via a jack plug and constructed a corresponding hole in the housing for it.

For the screw fastenings, I have provided heat-set inserts:

  • Fan: 4 x M4 heat-set inserts + matching screws 4 x M4 x 35mm
  • Buck Converter and Distributor Cover: 4 x M3 heat-set inserts + matching screws 4 x M3 x 6mm

If the fan is to be screwed to the Powerstream (possibly with the mounting plate), you will need

  • 3 x M5 x 65mm countersunk screws

However, if the Powerstream is used horizontally, the inverter's own weight is sufficient

Have fun
