🥁 Marching Day Mini Drums – Made for Little Hands with Big National Pride 🇳🇴

What do you do when your kids need plastic food containers for DIY drums… and you have none?
Easy. You fire up Fusion and design some from scratch. 😎

For Norway’s National Day, my sons needed hand drums to carry in the parade, so I created these fun, printable drums inspired by traditional marching percussion. They’re simple, effective, and surprisingly satisfying to tap!

🛠️ Included in This Set
Two Drum Versions – One for larger printers (P1S/X1C/A1, the one in the pictures) and one that fits the A1 Mini
One Drum Stick – Prints in two halves with three pins for alignment and internal reinforcement. Just glue it together and you’re good to go
Two Mounting Hooks – Attach these to the sides and run a thin rope or elastic through them to hang the drum around the neck—perfect for marching!

All parts are tested and parade-approved. I did my best to tune the echo chamber for that satisfying boom—let me know how it sounds to you!

🔧 Print Notes
Supports required – especially for the drum rim and stick
PLA works well
✔ Use a 0.2 mm layer height or finer for smooth curves
✔ Optional: Add real drum skin or string for a more polished finish

🛠️ Note: Even if the model worked perfectly on my end and looks flawless in the photos—remember, this is 3D printing 😄
Printers, settings, and materials vary, so some post-processing may be required.
Holes may be a bit tight—have a small drill bit ready just in case. Some sanding, trimming, or light glue work may be needed.

🎨 Customization Ideas

  • Paint in 🇳🇴 red, white, and blue—or go full freestyle
  • Let the kids decorate and help with assembly for extra ownership
  • Add small accessories or decorations for character

📢 Feedback Time!
If you know sound design—or just love tinkering—let me know what you’d improve!

📸 Show Off Your Prints!
Got a mini-drummer rocking your design? Show me!
Painted, marched, or just joyfully banged on—I'd love to see it in action.

Happy National Day – and happy printing! 🎉
