Description

This is a replacement part for Snark tuners with a broken arm or tuner socket. The ball is the right size to clip into the socket on the clip and hold tightly. The u-shaped arms flex to slide the tuner in and grip it well. Vibrations still transfer well to the tuner and it works as intended.

Things to consider before printing:

  • This was designed for printing in PLA, but should work with most materials as long as they allow enough flex to slide the tuner in.
  • My profile should have supports already, but if you use the STL, make sure to use support at the top of the u-shape.
  • Use a brim on the two parts that contact the plate. It can fail midway through if you don't, especially if you're using a bed slinger.
  • I have had occasional issues with the ball at the top coming out oblong and not fitting into the socket well. I've discovered that this is normally caused by under-extrusion. If you come across this, check for tangled filament or a partial nozzle clog.
