Another model fitting various motorcycle models with a 100mm bolt spacing.

This model serves to channel a portion of the airstream and direct it onto the brake pads.

Assembly Instructions:

The model on the second build plate serves as a template and is NOT intended for assembly!!!

Using the template, cut a piece from a 1.5mm stainless steel sheet and use the sheet for assembly!

After the metal parts have been manufactured and optionally painted (heat-resistant), they are bolted to the air duct with M4 screws. Once the components are bolted together, the bolts from the brake caliper are unscrewed and the caliper slightly pulled back so that the component can be mounted by sliding it in between.

Retighten the brake caliper screws with the correct torque!

Note:

Due to heat transfer through the metal sheet and proximity to the brake caliper, I recommend ASA.

I measured up to 60°C in Assen, directly after the turn at the brake caliper, but only when in the paddock - presumably the brake is briefly at over 70°C.

!!! Warning !!!

The part on build plate 2 “…Metall_Halteplatte.stl” is exclusively intended as a template for manufacturing this part from metal!!!!
