Description

Added a new profile for both shafts with a transducer cable clip modification  13 May 2025

PETG is recommended for outdoor usage.

Fishing season is coming and I needed a way to mount my portable fish finder on my kayak.

My kayak has room for Scotty rod holder mounts so I whipped up a slide in holder for the electronics and created the proper shaft to install it.

The Fish Finder is a Lucky branded battery operated fish finder but there are several other manufacturers that have an identical body.

There are two different shaft lengths. 71mm and 111mm included. Depending on your mount or preference the shorter one may work.

An M4-16 bolt fits but I would recommend a M4-20 with a washer on the bolt head end. There is a recess on one side for the M4 nut.

If you need a Scotty base mount like the one in the picture, you can find it at https://www.printables.com/model/84581-base-mount-for-scotty-rod-holders
