Description

Update: Re-meshed and took out the mouse ears.

I wanted a floating shelf. I could have went to Ikea or amazon but i challenged myself to make it myself and voila. The bracket gets mounted to the wall and the shelf just slides on. Underneath are 2 holes just below the hangers so you can screw in from the bottom so the shelf doesnt slide off. I included holes in the bracket hangers as well to get it started. I suggest pre-screwing the screws first before you mount it. In regard to the size, I have printed many different sizes, and this shape and dimension is the perfect. Any bigger and it slopes and any smaller and its not enough to fit a frame. Enjoy!

I'd like to try this print out, but the mouse ears start on different layer heights, thus ruining the first layer. Any way to fix that?

Apparently you have not checked / corrected because it's still broken. I cut away those "ears" layers and it finally printed without issue.

I will have pictures later, but the tabs are unneeded, and I can't figure out a purpose. If adhesion was worry a simple brim setting could help here. I did like the PETG approach for adhesion against a PLA print, a very good use of two materials that don't like to stick together.

Is it possible to have this downsized to 6in as opposed to 9in? Needing for a very small space for display purposes.

Have you tried shrinking it in the bambu slicer?

I am very new to the slicer, trying to figure it out. Right now I’m attempting to by using the scale tool.

Shelf drooped a lot for me and was not really usable

Sorry to criticize but the bracket with the tabs are badly designed and it resulted in several spaghetti prints due to missing adhesion. I finally cut all that those tab-layers away in BS and then it printed fine.

looks great, but the shelf was a little weak using PLA.
