Adaptation for Aqara Window Sensor (MCCGQ11LM), subtle and stylish – for common window handles, opening left or right, without modifying the sensor. Functions with both tilted and fully opened windows.

Instructions:

  • Simply remove the window sensor from its original housing and insert it into the new housing. Note: the reed switch (a small glass rod here) must be on the side where the handle is located. The sensor can easily be rotated 180°. This allows for correct positioning of the reed switch.
  • Snap the cover on – the two feet go on the side without the battery. Some pressure is required for the cover to snap into place.
  • Three neodymium magnets (4x2mm) must be inserted into the printed disc (see photos). There are two possible positions. The corner position works best for me. The disc is then placed on the square shaft of the handle. Note: Carefully consider the placement of the disc so that the magnets move away from the sensor when the handle is turned. My example can be seen in the photos.
  • Then attach the housing to the handle and screw the handle back onto the window – done.
