Enoshima Electric Railway

  • Kamakura, nestled in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, is among my favorite Japanese cities.
  • The Enoshima Electric Railway Line is a uniquely charming railway, traversing the Shonan coastline, passing iconic landmarks such as Kamakura Kōkōmae Station and Enoshima. Kamakura Kōkōmae Station, a filming location for "Slam Dunk," holds a special place in the hearts of many.
  • This model is a rechargeable electric train toy of the "Enoshima Electric Railway 1000 series," incorporating Maker's Supply's rechargeable power kit and other accessories. The train is compatible with IKEA, HAPE, and BRIO tracks.
  • Without AMS, multi-color parts can be achieved by manually changing filaments using pause layers. This model contains numerous small parts; please carefully review the assembly instructions before commencing.
  • Future plans include creating "Kamakura Kōkōmae Station." Due to the extended time required, the train model is released first; the station model will be updated upon completion.
  • To facilitate scenic arrangements, a model of "Shimonada Station," renowned as one of Japan's most picturesque seaside stations, has been created and is anticipated for release shortly after the assembly instructions are finalized.
  • Have fun! '◡'

2025.05.15 Update:

  • Further refinements to several components have been implemented following the identification of minor issues during assembly: An opening has been added to the bottom of the battery case to alleviate wire compression; the dimensions of the interior door frames have been adjusted to address potential extrusion issues at the right-angle bends, which could impede installation.
  • While the assembly instructions suggest using adhesive, it's not strictly necessary for basic securing. To avoid potential surface damage from adhesive, apply a small amount to the interior seams after assembly; avoid pre-application, as this could easily soil the exterior. Alternatively, you may choose to forgo initial bonding and reinforce any loose areas as needed during playtime.
