I saw some "sexy" handles on Aliexpress.
I have a 3D printer so I can't buy them… I need to print them.
If you have one too you can too!
Hardware:
- 2x M4 Bolts and nuts
- to slide in mid-print for the handle (see picture) ← don't forget that or handle will be useless !!
- to slide in after print is done for the "solo" one
- 4x small screws (I used D3mm * 15mm) for the handles
- Wood Rod
- D15mm or D20mm for the handles
- D15mm for the “solo” one
Print advices:
- Arachne on will yield better walls
- No support for the handles
- Supports for the “solo” one
- Make it solid, I printed the prototype with 3 perimeter and increased default density slightly
- 0.3mm layers with 0.6mm nozzle seems ok (arachne on, otherwize I guess 0.4mm max)
Mount:
- don't forget to add a color swap mid-print to insert the nuts or handle will be useless !! (happened to me…)
- Cut wood to size once part printed and cold, will avoid bad surprises depending on printer setting (does not apply for solo)
- Screw wood rod in place, then M4 bolt-it to the door/drawer!
- Cut wood properly… not like my prototypes (see pictures… no no no!)
Hope it helps!
