FC Union Coasters

There is a variant with 0.4 Nozzle and one with 0.2 Nozzle. The images were printed with a 0.4 Nozzle.

There are a total of 6 coasters with holders. Each coaster has a height of 2mm and a diameter of 109.5mm in case someone wants a different holder design.

The shown 3D-printed coasters with the FC Hansa Rostock logo were printed with a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon (X1C) and the Automatic Material System (AMS). The printing process requires a multicolor print file available in a suitable format such as .3MF or .STL with color assignments.

Print preparation:

1. File Setup:

• The logo was created as a multicolor model, either through vector graphic conversion or directly in CAD software with separate color segments.

• In Bambu Studio, the model is imported and the individual colors are assigned to different filaments in the AMS system.

2. Material Selection:

• The AMS allows the use of four different filaments simultaneously. For this print, at least blue, red, white, and black were required.

• PLA or PETG are ideal as they offer good adhesion and color sharpness.

Printing process:

3. Layer-by-Layer Color Change:

• The Bambu Lab X1C recognizes the color zones and automatically switches the filaments.

• The purge system removes excess material to ensure clean transitions.

4. Print Bed and Adhesion:

• A PEI-coated flex plate ensures optimal adhesion during printing.

• A slower printed first layer (e.g., 0.2 mm height) improves the detail accuracy of the logo.

Result:

The finished coaster displays crisp colors and sharp edges, thanks to the precise multi-material functionality of the Bambu Lab X1C with AMS. This printing method enables high-quality personalized objects with complex color patterns – ideal for club logos or other detailed designs.
