Description
Mow wet and tall grass at full speed, safely.
Mowing a lawn with wet grass clogs the output chute of lawnmowers. Normally when the mower bogs down, you would have to reach your hand into the chute and unclog it. This chute lifter assembly not only prevents you from having to put your hands anywhere near the mowing deck of your lawnmower, it also prevents the wet grass from clogging the chute in the first place! Allowing you to mow wet and tall grass at full speed, safely.
Items needed:
- 608 bearing (printable one included on second plate)
- Rope/paracord/string
Assembly Instructions:
- Get the 608 Bearing into the pulley. It is a tight fit so a clamp/hammer/mallet may be needed!
- Place the string in the assembly in a way that makes sense.
- Slide the assembled pulley into the assembly.
- Use the printed compression-semicircles as the bearing's axle, notches aligned to the housing.
- Compress the semicircles so the pulley is properly seated.
- Unbolt the nut and slide the assembly onto the bolt. Tighten bolt (not too hard as the plastic will crack)
- Tie the string to the ring's string attach point.
- Drill a hole the size of your string (or the optional string eyelet) in the chute, aligned with the pulley.
- With the steering bars in a riding position, tie your string to the chute.
- Test the lifting capabilities and trim off excess string.
- Enjoy!
Optional Accessories (2nd plate):
- String eyelet
- Printable 608 Bearing
- Different handle designs
This was printed in PLA and has held up for a few mows now. PETG or ASA may be a better option if you have them!
This was my first designed print! Let me know how I did?
