Here is the Romanian submission for the Crown Contest!
We throw into the ring our own missing old crown for Cotofenesti!Original Material Electrum - Believed to be originally fabricated between 450–400 BC
The Golden Helmet of Coțofenești (Romanian: [kotsofeˈneʃti]) is a Geto-Dacian helmet made of electrum (a natural gold-silver-copper alloy) dating from the second half of the 5th century BC. Discovered in the Romanian village of Coțofenești, it was exhibited at the National History Museum of Romania in Bucharest before being stolen in 2025 during a robbery at the Drents Museum in Assen, the Netherlands, where it was being displayed as part of a travelling exhibition. Its current whereabouts and condition remain unknown.!Small team of creators - We try to offer high-res scans of ancient artefacts. More to come soon
