Description

This adapter allows you to connect an intake hose to the lower rear vent (condenser intake) of the Whirlpool PACW212HP and experiment with a dual-hose configuration.

It is intended as an enthusiast modification and a starting point for further experimentation, rather than a complete conversion kit or guaranteed efficiency upgrade.

Print profiles are available for both 125 mm and 150 mm hoses. The model is designed to be printed in PETG for improved heat resistance. To reduce unwanted room air intake, users may choose to improve sealing around the adapter and other areas of the unit, although additional modifications may be required depending on the desired results.

Due to the total height of approximately 30 cm, the model is split into two parts for easier printing. I lightly sanded the mating surfaces and glued the two halves together for a solid fit.

Disclaimer

This is an experimental modification and is provided as-is.

The PACW212HP was originally designed as a single-hose air conditioner. This adapter alone does not convert it into a true factory-equivalent dual-hose system. The unit may still draw room air through other openings and internal leakage paths unless additional modifications are made.

Performance improvements are not guaranteed and results will vary depending on installation, sealing and environmental conditions.

Use this modification entirely at your own risk. It has not been tested or approved by Whirlpool and may affect performance, efficiency, noise levels, power consumption, or potentially the lifespan of the appliance.

This project was primarily a learning exercise and is shared for enthusiasts who may find it useful or wish to improve upon the design.
