Boat Model Components Kit - MH010

Description

Alternative Benchy – Print, Assemble, Play!

I am pleased to present you the wind-up Modern Benchy. The main goal was to make every stage fun and engaging — printing, assembling, and playing — for kids and adults alike!
The Boat is fully customizable, from color schemes to adding your own creative parts on the bridge roof or deck (pin diameter: 7.25 mm).

🔧 Design Highlights

  • Compatible with Kit-010 (optional);
  • Balanced along the waterline for realistic floating or display;
  • Functional parts — rotating steering wheel and antennas;
  • No glue required;
  • No AMS system needed;
  • Easy and fun customization options;

🧩 Model Details

Benchy consists of 22 parts, but several are optional:

  • You can skip printing the crate, lifebuoys, or navigation lights (print lights in the same color as the roof for consistency).

Despite a significantly different appearance from the original model, I preserved iconic features like the round portholes and arched elements. I also added more holes, decorative pieces, and mounting options to increase play and display potential.

🖨️ Printing Notes

While this is a toy model, it’s also a solid printer test — especially Plate 5:

  • If you're just after a toy, add supports for easier resultson this Plate.
  • If you're up for a challenge, print without supports and test your printer’s accuracy! Two large parts come together perfectly at the arch.
  • To successfully print this model, please ensure your printer is properly calibrated, the build plate is clean (I recommend to wash it with something like Fairy before each print), and your filament is dry. I’ve taken care of everything else — just use my provided settings without making any changes.

The hull was printed with supports due to its size (I haven’t tested it without), but all supports and brims detach easilyno post-processing required (your fingernail will be enough 😁).

⚠️ Safety Note

Some parts are small — please supervise young children during assembly.

Boost Me (for free)

If you like the model, please leave a like and a comment — I’d really appreciate it! A subscription means a lot too. As a beginner in 3D printing, your feedback helps me know I’m on the right track.

Consider to 🚀 Boost me — it’s great motivation and will help me get an A1 mini Combo faster, which means quicker testing of models and print profiles I’m making for you.

Thank you! ❤️
