Description

This model is the Original Jordan 1

I HIGHLY recommend support material for the bottom!! Your Knuckles will thank you.  I have been using normal supports instead of tree.

The supports on the bottom are a little time consuming to remove.  I hit it with the orbital sander for a min or 2 with 80 grit and then again with 320 and it will smooth out.

What type of supports did you use for printing?

I used tree support which I believe is what it came with. it’s a pain in the rear to remove from bottom. just FYI

Very nice model, I had already printed a version a few months ago without the use of support for PLA and I struggled with the sole. This time I took the last profile with the special support for PLA and I made some modifications which I am very happy with : the supports can be removed almost like a miracle ;-) I think I'm going to upload my profile.

Could you please share your support structure profile? I've tried several times, but I can't remove them from the bottom

A1 Mini - 2 Shoes - 10cm Size 0.2mm layer, 4 walls, 15% infill
I wish there was a right shoe instead of two lefts, but still love the model. I lazily chose to mirror it in the slicer, which also inverted the text on the tongue and swoosh on the bottom of the sole, but it's only noticeable up close. Also saved about a 100g of filament by reducing the purge volume to 60% and purging into object, which I think that came out pretty cool too.

That purge shoe is trippy AF! Love it - that's a great idea and I should have tried the same thing!

@Vulcan_28 I tried a bunch of different things when making this print profile. Feel free to download it and copy settings to whatever version you are printing but the main thing is probably using actual Support PLA for the interface. I made 3 other versions of this model and supports all gave me trouble until I made this version.

this print is a lot of fun that friends and family can’t get enough of. printed in the “og colors” red, black, white PLA with tree support. around the ankle part there was some difficulty as no support was added automatically to support the inside of the ankle as it begins to close it out to the tongue around 70%. it did fix itself eventually and printed fine.
