Self Watering Owl for Plants (300ml)
Print Profile(3)

Description
🦉💧 The Self-Watering Owl – Guardian of Your Greenery!
Going on vacation? Busy summer ahead? No problem.
Meet your plant’s new wise and watchful friend: designed to hydrate, built to impress. 💧
🎯 What Makes This Owl Special?
This isn’t just another cute print.
This is a high-capacity hydration hero with a full 300 ml water tank — perfect for extended getaways and hot summer days. ☀️
Built on the same trusted tech as the Kingfisher birds (25ml / 100ml), the owl brings new magic:
👀 Smart Eyes Mechanism:
When water runs low, the owl’s eyes open — a gentle yet clear visual cue that it’s time to refill. When refilled, the eyes close again automatically, thanks to the upgraded float + chain system.

🔁 Easy Refill:
Refill directly through the head opening — quick, smooth, and spill-free!
Available in Two Variants:
⚡ FAST Drop: 300ml released over 1–3 days (perfect for thirsty plants)
🐢 SLOW Drop: Gentle watering over 3–8 days (for steady hydration)
Ideal for:
- Large pots & planters
- Balcony gardens or patios
- Tropical plants needing constant moisture
- Busy or forgetful plant parents (we’ve all been there) 🙈
🛠️ Printed with precision and care, no electronics needed — just physics, design, and the natural magic of 3D-printed micro-permeability.
💡 Why You’ll Love It:
✔️ Looks adorable and mysterious in any pot 🦉
✔️ Visually interactive — watch those eyes! 👁️👁️
✔️ Total conversation starter
✔️ Your plants stay healthy, even when you’re miles away
💧 How It Works:
- Fill the bird’s back with clean water.
- Nestle it gently into the soil near your plant.
- Watch it go to work — as water levels drop, the eyelids opens 🐦 (a subtle visual cue!)
- Refill easily through the top funnel when needed.
No stress. Just a happy little helper doing its job while you enjoy life. ☀️

Technical Overview – Self-Watering Owl
The magic of this print lies in its smart use of material properties and clever design:
🔽 Lower Section – Water Diffusion Membrane
The bottom part of the owl, acts as a semi-permeable membrane. It's recommended to use Basic Bambu Lab PLA, as these offer excellent micro-permeability.
At first, water flow is faster — but as the PLA becomes saturated, it slightly expands, closing micro-gaps and slowing down the water release significantly. This natural saturation curve helps regulate moisture delivery over 1–8 days, depending on the version and used filament
The membrane area is printed with dynamic settings, using slightly thicker, imperfectly sealed extrusions. This allows for controlled diffusion of water through the fine gaps in the print layers — no electronics required!
☁️ Float & Eyelid Mechanism
The float is printed separately using a different profile and technique. It's watertight and contains a small air chamber, which gives it buoyancy.
- The EyeLids opens when the float drops, signaling low water (or dryness).
Will automatically close lids when refilling to maximum.
