Description

Springfield 1911 Magazine Bottom Cap

This is a simple replacement bottom cap for a Springfield 1911 .45 ACP magazine. I made it for a friend who couldn’t find one — seems like a lot of these mags don’t come with the original cap anymore.

The cap improves grip and feel when reloading, and makes handling the mag a bit more comfortable overall.

Material Tips:

  • I recommend printing in ASA or ASA-CF if you want it to last — great for heat, UV, and outdoor use.
  • PLA works fine too, especially if it's just for casual use, but it might get brittle or deform over time.
  • You can even try TPU for a softer, grippier feel — it actually works surprisingly well.

Doesn’t need any supports. It’s a quick print, but makes a real difference.
