Ever wanted to mount something to a wall that isn't necessarily designed to? No? Well, here's a solution anyway!
Introducing:
It does what it says on the tin, basically. Got a thing? Want it on a wall? One Command Strip or a couple of screws and, BAM! You just put your thing on the wall. PETG Recommended but prints and holds light loads in PLA.
Instructions:
- Get your object you wish to wall mount.
- Choose if you wish to screw the mount to the object or stick it with adhesive.
- Choose either the screw mount or adhesive mount print profile accordingly (open edge pointing down).
- PRINT!
- Attach your chosen object mount to your object.
- Use an adhesive strip or screws to affix the Wall Mount Piece (rounded edge pointing up).
- Slide your object onto the Wall Mount.
- You've successfully mounted your object to a wall!
Each Profile contains 1 Wall Mount and One Object Mount.
If you are not using a profile to print these, please ensure you use the following settings:
- 6 Walls
- 5 Bottom Shell Layers
- 5 Top Shell Layers
- 15% Gyroid Infill
- 0.1mm X-Y Contour Compensation (PETG Only)
While I have not officially weight tested this mount, a good pry while mounted has yielded no failings yet, please remember:
Mounting objects to your walls with this mount is done so at your own risk!
PLA can deform over time! PETG Recommended!
Boring warning out of the way, please do let me know if there's anything that can be done to improve the design and if any more object mounting plates could be designed to accommodate other object mounting needs.
