"Slimline" version of my coin stand/display/holder for coins with a 50mm diameter and 5mm thickness, such as the Olight commemorative coin for the 7th anniversary of the German FB group.

As in the first version, the coin also sits in a 1.5mm deep, circumferential recess in V2, but this time it is only tilted 17.5° backwards. For aesthetic reasons, the front bevel now also follows this angle. Due to the recesses on the front and back, as little of the coin as possible is still hidden by the holder.

Due to the now significantly smaller "footprint" compared to the original version, the angle of the coin had to be reduced by 2.5° so that the center of gravity of the coin remains within the limits of the model and the whole conglomerate does not tip backwards ;) For additional stability, I have added a modifier with 100% infill to the bottom. The "bunny ears" ensure that all 4 corners remain on the print bed and that the underside is completely flat.

Printed again in Geeetech PLA Black - this time in approx. 42 minutes on an A1 Mini with 0.08mm layer height and only 2 wall lines. A coarser resolution will certainly also work and speed up the printing process, but the appearance will suffer due to the many curves. Adaptive layer height would be an idea…
