Description

Please read carefully to make sure you understand the limitations and intentions of this 3D model before printing it.

This cradle model is designed to sit in the bottom ring of a 20lb tank to provide a base plate cradle that will fit 20lb tanks using the welded bottom ring of the tank.

This cradle will prevent the rusted tank bottom rings from staining your deck or patio stones and may also be used to help prevent shifting “left to right” when the cradle and the tank are properly secured.

[ Check list before you print ]

This cradle is designed with the following principles / features :

- your 20lb tank ring must be round and in good condition to fit (dented, kinked or welded wrong ring won't work) ;

- double check the diameter of your tank ring to make sure it fits the groove size (see picture with the ruler) ;

- 8 holes are included to screw the cradle down. Use “flat” head screws, cone heads will crack the holes ;

- 4 drain holes are included in the ring groove to shed water out ;

- may also fit the similar 30 lb tanks (I did not test it), let us know in the comments

- it’s a large 3D print, it will use almost all the built plate space (for A1 and X1 printers) its a tight fit ;

- the cradle was not designed to hold a tank for transport purposes, check local laws and use proper attachment methods.

- the ring groove size was designed using 3 different brands of tanks for testing, but I can’t guarantee it will fit yours.

[ Printing ]  No supports required for printing. Choose the material for your application, PETG worked fine for me.
