Description

Designer SCORPION Sculpture

Let me introduce you to the scorpion figurine. As you can see in the photos, it's printed in black filament and painted with a red metallic paint (a question many people ask!).

This is not a model for beginners!  So if you’re just starting your 3D printing journey, I recommend trying something easier first.

This model is quite demanding—especially when it comes to post-processing and removing supports. It’s only for the patient, determined, and well-equipped with the right tools.

That said, it’s definitely doable. I managed to complete it on my first attempt, and you can see the results in the photos. But I’ll admit—I tackled it in several sessions, taking breaks in between 😉

Don’t scale it down! If you print it smaller, removing the supports or detaching them without damaging a limb might become impossible.

Printed with fuzzy skin effect.

Fuzzy Skin: Contour
Fuzzy Skin Point Distance: 0.15
Fuzzy Skin thickness: 0.15

All my photos are real and show an actual 3D-printed figure photographed by me.

As always!
The key to printing my figurines is having good adhesion to the build plate. I use CryoGrip Pro Frostbite for printing, which provides excellent grip, ensuring that every figurine prints successfully every time. I mainly use filaments from Bambu and have no issues with them either. If you have a different setup, make sure to focus on build plate adhesion, use high-quality dry filament, and everything should be fine.

Absolutely beautiful design.Would have given 5/5 if stinger was facing the right way. A scorpion stinger faces forward, but for people that don’t know, it’s just a beautiful sculpture.

very doable with patience, when removing the supports take your time and use sharp nips. I also scaled this up a lot. and it turned out great using dual color filament. this was done using my H2D. thanks for the great design with excellent detail.

Very nice work! Admittedly, the supports are a challenge, especially if you're ambitious enough to do it without superglue. But it's doable! Many thanks 👍

This thing is awesome. Supports aren't too bad, just take your time nipping it bit by bit.
